Spring has arrived and all the wonderful colors have blended to bring us out of the winter doldrums to play in the sun. Polka dots and stripes mix with wonderfully textured solids to bring the perfect play kit for Spring and all joyous occasions.

Today, there was a hellified thunderstorm. There was a little bit of everything – rain, hail, wall clouds, flooding.  It was the apocalypse without locusts.

I’ve always loved to crochet.  I learned as a little girl watching my grandmother. She taught me the textile arts. I can sew, crochet and cross-stitch.  I love seeing something that I’ve worked on come to life.   The oddity about my crocheting is that  I crochet backwards -left to right. It’s because I’m left-handed.  My grandmother (GOD rest her soul) was patient with me.

I created the lapghan with 9 granny squares.  Have a look! 

I keep promising everyone (self included) that I’m going to be better at maintaining this blog, but so far I haven’t lived up to that. Life is busy and full. I suppose that is a much a reason as any other.

I have had alot on my plate. I’ve been crocheting for my family. My sisters now have lap-ghans and matching tams.  I was determined to do with all my excess yarn.  Next on my list is my fabric. I could open my own Hancock’s if I chose.  I’m lining myself up to have a busy summer.
